Workshop: Protecting Archaeological Assets in Taiz Governorate

A diagnostic workshop organized by Arniyada in January 2025 to link the legal dimension with community effort, in response to the growing threats facing historical sites in Taiz Governorate.

The workshop addressed the demolition of the historical "Qubbat al-Aza'az" dome for a commercial facility and the suspension of excavation at the historic "Hammam Yafrus" due to lack of funding, and launched the "Social Shield" concept that turns citizens into community monitors for protecting antiquities.
